METHUEN — Constance D. "Connie" McCann, 74, of Methuen died on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at Saints Medical Center, Lowell.

Connie was born and raised in Lawrence and attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and High School and remained an avid parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She was state president of Dept. of Ma. Ladies Auxiliary Marine Corps League and president of Marine Corps League, Merrimack Valley Auxiliary.

Connie was the daughter of the late Florida D. Fortier Fairweather and George Ree Fairweather. Her family members include her husband of 53 years, Robert T. McCann of Lawrence; and her children, Kathleen B. McCann and her fiance Timothy Hall of Derry, N.H., Kevin R. and his wife Nellie McCann of Salisbury, Keith T. McCann of Pelham, N.H., Karen M. and her husband Marc Difruscia of Tewksbury, Robert A. McCann of Methuen, Timothy P. McCann of Methuen, and Chloe and Brie; and her grandchildren, Kevin R. McCann of Florida, Alec M. Difruscia of Tewksbury, Alysa Ree Difruscia of Tewksbury, Lee Evangelista and her husband Thomas of Methuen, Gina Tammaro and husband Robert of N. Reading, and Guiness "Chumly" and Franc; and several great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours will be on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Arthur J. Scott Funeral Home, 298 South Broadway, Lawrence and again on Tuesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A funeral Mass will follow on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Lawrence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dana Farber Institute, Multiple Myeloma Reasearch, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115 or to Sacred Heart Church, 321 S. Bob,I am so sorry about your loss of Connie, I missed the announcement and a patient just told me of her passing. My mother , Barabara aslo sends her deepest condolensces and we remember all the good times on Ayer Road. I always will remember your nice pool on hot summer days, and growing up on Ayer Road was nice having you and Connie as our neighbors. I know she will be in our prayers.

We are so sorry for the loss of you mother may here wonderful memories always put a smile on you face and also for the kids . We had some wonderful time at the shop with our mom's I hope there catching up you know how doris was. Unfortunately we did not hear about her passing until all the services were over.
