Not sure what to say?

Mr. Palmer and John, I enjoyed being Joe's classmate for 9 years. When I met you in the 70s, I was thinking how neat you two each had to be as part of a family built with Joe and his mom. My thoughts are with you.

My condolences to her family and friends. I just wanted to share that she patiently helped me, a little, shy, new girl get adjusted to my new school. It was a hard transition at a difficult time in my life. I remember very little of those days, but I remember sitting by her desk while she taught me multiplication tables. I'd never seen them before, but before the year was over, math was my best subject. I've grown up, moved away and have children of my own, and I still find myself saying...

Connie was my beloved sister-in-law, and I have fond memories of her gracious and caring spirit. She was such a bright and engaged person, and I'm sure she was a fine role model for her many students. Peace to her memory, and deep sympathy and prayers for Ed and John.

Connie was my partner when I began teaching at Hawken. It was a special time, all those decades ago when we were young and full of great ideas. I count Connie with all the other master teachers that graced The Lower School during our Leistishire years. She loved us all and will be remembered as one classy, astute, lady. What a gift she has been to me, to my son Rob, (one of her "boys"), to all who were fortunate enough to know her .
Thanks for sharing her with all of us

Connie was one very special lady. She was so kind and considerate to all she met. She cared deeply for her students and they returned the love. I worked in the Lower School for many years and witnessed the gentleness and respect she showed everyone. I am deeply saddened to hear of her loss. Thinking of you, Lynn MacAthur
