Not sure what to say?

I remember the first time I walked into the
MIT Chapel.

Rev. Parvey was preparing for the congregation to receive the Eucharist.

I remember being startled by the presence of a woman as the Rev.

I smiled to myself, and thought We are not in Kansas anymore!"

She is missed.

Constance led by example. Her sermons and teachings remain with me to this day.

I have known Pastor Parvey since 1974 when I was student at MIT. We stayed in touch through this spring. I remembered one time we were having brunch at the S&S in Cambridge in the middle of a blizzard. We both remarked how beautiful the weather was outside. I appreciated her perspective on life. I will miss her.

Rev. Parvey was an inspirational person in my life. She will live in my heart.

I first met Connie when I visited Harvard Divinity in 1958 as a prospective student and saw her in the top floor of the Dean's House, where I too would live for 3 years. Our paths crossed later on at the Women in the Community of the Church (WCC) conference at Sheffield, England. We often met at HDA alumnae/i days. She was an inspiration for pioneer women ministers of many denominations. Revd Dr Sr Teresa (Joan White), Community of St Andrew, Church of England.

Presente!! We remember you Connie, striding down Vassal Lane past our house in all sorts of weather and were sad when you moved away. Your determination and strong spirit were an inspiration to us. Strong MInnesota women are a legend and you were one of them. We also admired your keen and inquisitive mind which we saw in all those books in your extensive library.
I will treasure my wonderful book on Paul Klee which was part of that library which you so generously shared with friends...
