Not sure what to say?

I am sorry to hear about my good friend and classmate Connie. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

As the President of AFGE Local 2157, VA Hospital, Portland, Oregon I had the honor and great fortune to work with Connie a number of times. She was the best commissioner/mediator I ever worked with. She was a power to be reckoned with, I loved and admired that about her. We never failed to get to a lasting resolution with Connie at the helm.

After we retired we became Facebook friends, but sadly, living far from her, our paths did not touch face to face.

As a side...

Connie was a great mediator and always willing to help either side learn the process without anyone feeling slighted. Jim and I both appreciated her professionalism and dedication to dispute resolution.

She was a great lady! She could bring the strongest administrator to their knees!!! We all will miss her. I feel privileged to have known her.
She helped make an incredible difference for Nursing.

Cousin Connie and I had some good times back in the day!! Playing at Tulaby lake and also collecting many eggs on her dads place!! RIP cousin Connie!! ❤ Colene

Connie was a friend and mentor for many years, helping me with labor relations and just in great talks about tough issues. She was always inspiring and thoughtful. Rest in peace my warrior sister, you deserve it! Blessings,

Cousin Connie was funny, loving and an inspiration. The world was a much better place for her being a part of it, and while a little poorer now, those that knew and loved her have been enriched. Rest well, Cousin, in the knowledge that you were loved.

Connie was a helpful new cousin when her mom married my uncle. She shared many speech and drama resources with me, helping me be a better teacher. Too many years ago we enjoyed attending some plays together and I thought her backyard flowers were spectacular. My life was richer for knowing her.

Connie was a dear friend to me I have enjoyed our times together over the last yrs together. I was her manicurist for 17 yrs i will miss her alot
