Not sure what to say?

I remember Mr. Maffey from when I was a locksmith in NJ. I was amazed at how he could just make a part he needed if not available. It was a pleasure to know him. My condolences to his family and he will be remembered.

Afra and Connie with Joe Horling in 2010

Joe Horling, Connie and Charlie at Joe's 90th birthday party in 2010

Locksmith picnics and hanging out with the Maffeys are part of my childhood memories. May Connie rest in peace, and prayers for Afra and all the family. My parents, your dear friends Joe and Marge Horling, were waiting for you in heaven.

My sincere condolences go to my godfather's family during this time. His dear old friend, my Dad, passed away the day before! As members of the Greatest Generation, we will miss their strong faith in God and country. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Rest in peace my friend. Your service to this nation has inspired so many others to serve, especially your family. God speed.

I'm enriched by having known Connie and grateful for the strength he passed on to his children.

I always remember visiting the Maffey house after Emily (or John's?) baptism party. Mr. Maffey was proudly showing the house and telling me about thirty years of working on the old fixer-up. Said "there are only two things left - the back step is loose and this (lifting the ball on the top of the stair post in the front hall). And can you believe she wants to move!!". It was a beautiful home that raised a beautiful family. He will be missed. Love to the whole family.
