Not sure what to say?

I just received notice from the Archon venue that Connie had passed away. Since my marriage I have been gone from Birmingham and living with my husband in Miami for the last 60 years. However, I have never forgotten my dear Birmingham friends and all the fun years I had growing up there. My sincerest condolences to Connie's wife JoAnn and to his entire family.

Mr. Connie was a joy to know! He was always smiling! I will miss you dearly. Praying for your family and especially for Mrs. Jo Ann

A one of a kind gentleman, always with a big smile and something funny to say! Loved all of my years working at Connie Kanakis Cafe. He will never be forgotten!! And as he always said "I know dats right´".

May He Rest In Peace

What a beautiful man he was. Always bringing joy and we were just patrons at the restaurant. Here he is singing to my late sister on her 60th birthday at a surprise dinner at his restaurant. May his good soul rest in peace.
