Dear Family and Friends of Reverend Mathews, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of this extraordinary pillar of his holy Church. During the Mathews´ Family time in Stamford it was my distinct pleasure to have both Vasilios and Nikiforos in my classroom. Reading Reverend Father´s Legacy brought back many pleasant memories of this special family. May God bestow blessings and bring comfort to all of you. Sincerely,

While I do not know this man nor am I Greek, he is a perfect example of perseverance. He went from hiding in caves as a child from the communists to becoming a leading force of faith, family & leadership as an example to others. May you now rest in the sweet arms of your lord. Deepest sympathy to all who loved & admired this extraordinary man.
