Cora HICKS

I befriended Mrs. Hicks in 1987 through her son and my dear friend, Eric. I subsequently spent many hours in their company. Mrs. Hicks was a fabulous cook, and it was over the course of the wonderful meals she prepared, trips around the Central Valley, and the many concerts we attended, that I got to know her. Mrs. Hicks was my freshman English teacher at Tillotson College and my Humanities teacher after my return from the military at Huston-Tillotson College. She was stern, strict and fair. Her skills and knowledge knew no bounds. I appreciate everything that she taught me and she will be sorely missed.
