NORTH ATTLEBORO - Cora E. LeBlanc, 81, of North Washington Street died Monday morning, December 11, 2006 in Madonna Manor Nursing Home where she has been a resident for the past year. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond LeBlanc.

Born June 7, 1925 in Plainville, she was a daughter of the late George and Georgianna (Rivers) White. Cora grew up and spent most of her life in North Attleboro and also lived in Plainville for over 18 years.

She worked as a quality assurance monitor at the Whiting and Davis Co. in Plainville for over thirty years before her retirement over 15 years ago.

Cora was extremely active in the American Legion and a longtime member of the 40-8 division of the legion, Post 49 for which she served in various officer capacities.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandy and her husband, Bill Whitehead of Michigan; three sons, Richard and his wife Barbara LeBlanc of New Jersey, Gary and his wife, Dodi LeBlanc of North Carolina and Moe and his wife, Peggy LeBlanc of North Attleboro; a sister, Isabelle Croteau of Attleboro; a brother, George White of California; 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was also sister of the late Jesse and Evelyn White.

A funeral will be held from the SPERRY & McHOUL FUNERAL HOME, 15 Grove Street, North Attleboro on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass in St. Martha’s Church, Plainville at 10 O’clock. Burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 p.m.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. in the Sperry & McHoul Funeral Home.

Moe and Peggy, Sorry to hear of Moe's mother's death. You were so kind to my dad when he was at the Manor and it was wonderful to see you both at his wake. I'm sorry I am too far away to pay my respects personally. My prayers are with you.
