As a former officer with the department in Pratt, Corkie was always telling me where to go. That was our inside joke. I was also known as her mailbox killer. I hit her mailbox twice while taking her home from work. When I got off shift, I would dutifully drive back to her house and fix her mailbox, again. She would show her appreciation with a slice of apple pie with cheese and coffee.
