Corbett Michael Poole Sr.

Poole Corbett Michael Poole, Sr., age 80, of Westerville, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Mike was born and raised in Columbus, son of the late Berley and Mary Poole. Also preceded in death by his siblings Berley Jr. and Dennis Poole and Annie Lowe. U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from Columbus Public Schools where he worked as a stationery engineer. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Masonic Sparrow Lodge No. 400 and Achbar Grotto. Mike was a friendly, generous man who always had a smile on his face and was well liked by many. He was outspoken, sometimes stubborn and just a plain "hoot". He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved to watch old cowboy movies. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 29 years, Josephine Poole; children, Martha Thurman, Michael Poole, Jr., Hazel (Scott) Fausey, Donald (Maryanne) Poole, Jerry (Tracy) Graves, Denise (Ted) Edwards, Ron (Cindi) Graves, and David (Val) Graves; 24 grandchildren including special grandson, Adam; several great- and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Harry (Sharon) Poole; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Estate.
