Raleigh, North Carolina - Corene Mixon Allen, 69, of Raleigh, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born August 29, 1956 in Dunn, NC to Willard and Josephie Mixon. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Allen Myer, and sister, Deborah Murray.
Corene was a woman of strength and grace who lived her life guided by faith, family, and love for others. She was known for her infectious laughter, love of teaching, and kind heart. She truly never met a stranger.
A service celebrating her life will be held at Asbury Church (6612 Creedmoor Road Raleigh, NC 27613) on Sunday, November 16 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Asbury Kitchen Ministry.

While Corene's time with us was far too brief, the light of her life will shine brightly on the path of all who knew her for many years to come. The way she met each day with positivity and grace set an example for many, and she brought out the best in all who had the privilege to know her. May her memory be eternal.
