We are very grateful for the contribution the Engen Brothers have brought to our skiing heritage. Our family has enjoyed many years of our father, Edwin G. Gibbs (Peruvian Lodge, Alta, UT)sharing stories from the early skiing days and the deeply rooted friendship made.

It was a thrill for me to know the Engen family...My father Axel Andresen was also proud to be assosiated with him through the years. One of my fondest memories was when my mother and I used to go and visit grandma Engen( Corey's mother). I was but a small boy, but remember her well.

Corey and Norma Engen were great friends to our family in McCall. They made us welcome: we felt very special as they shared themselves from their hearts. To feel their graciousness was a joy. Corey was a deeply good gentleman who lifted others by his optimism and friendly interest. I'm glad I knew this good man! My memory of him will hold a very dear place to me.

Corey was our home teacher for years in Lindon. He was always so sweet and a true friend to our family. We will miss him, and wish the family peace knowing he is with our Saviour Jesus Christ.

I would like to express my condolences to your family at this time. My parents, Randi and Kjell Bjorge admired and respected the contribution the Engen brothers made to our country as Norwegian Americans. My mother was excited to honor them at the Bauta Stone she created for the Norwegian section in the Peace Garden in Salt Lake.
