Cori Wells Braun

My name is Ira Wohl. I made the Oscar-winning documentary "Best Boy" in the eighties, and when I did the sequel, "Best Man", in 1997, and needed a photo of me, as well as photo's of my 70-year-old, developmentally disabled cousin's Bar Mitzvah, which we also filmed I somehow found my way to Cori. While going through my files today and looking through old photos, I suddenly came across her stamp on the back of one, with her name and phone number. I miss my friendship with Cory so much! She would have so loved to have shared in what has unfolded in my life since she past including getting married and living in Vermont in summer and fall. I would have loved for her to come here to visit me, hang out and spend hours chatting about everything under the sun. A great friend and a great person. I tune into you sometimes Cory and know you are so happy for me and that we are still very connected! love you girlfriend!

Cori and I were introduced in the early 80's through a mutual friend. We would meet over food, or see a film or simply share a long phone call. Whatever the occasion, we always exchanged intimately our thoughts and feelings; I remember laughing together uncontrollably walking the streets of the city. I am saddened by the loss of my friend, a gifted photographer and lovely human being. Miles, please accept my deepest condolences.

I have just learned of my dear friend Cori's passing and I am so very sad and surprised! We spent a wonderful evening together in June while I was in NY. She was always eager to see me and made time when I visited. I spoke to her in July and she never mentioned a thing. My heart is broken Cori. May you rest in peace. Love you!!!
