Not sure what to say?

I knew Dr. Walentik when she worked at St. Louis Regional Medical Center. We occasionally had lunch together at a local Italian restaurant and I always enjoyed her company. She was very well-respected in her field and the world lost a great doctor and a great human being. RIP, Dr. Walentik.

Greg and I were very sad to hear of Corrine's passing. We remember you all from the Mission. In May of 2010, our son Randall met here again at St. Anthony's Hospital, where his daughter Ivy was born. She was still there at about 8 days. Corrine was checking her over and said it was time for her to go home, and don't I know you??? Randall was so happy to have Dr Walentik release the baby at last!! She was so special. God bless your family and take care. Marilyn and Greg Kopchak

Dave and Steve,
Only today with the letter on the P-D editorial page did I learn of Corey's death. I was very sad to hear this news—sad for you and sad for our community. We've lost a heroic advocate for public health. Please accept my sympathies.

Alex and I are so glad that we had the opportunity to meet Ms. Walentik! She will be missed by all.

Our deepest sympathy to you Dave & your family.

Steve, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

I HAVE WORKED WITH DR WALENTIK FOR 25 YEARS AND I HAVE ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE I HAVE KNOWN HER. SHE WAS A TRUE INSPIRATION AND A FINE LADY
I WILL MISS HER SMILING FACE
MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOUR FAMILY.

A true Advocate and Leader--an inspiration to so many including myself. She was very proud of her family and shined when speaking of them...she was fulfilled! Now her body can rest free without pain but her spirit and voice will definitely live on thru so many+ May we continue to honor her by our work for justice and care for all those little ones. Thank you for sharing her with us and may you find solace in your heart from her fight and strength+

I am deeply saddened by this news. My twins, Lena and Owen, were under her care in February when they were born. She was the best doctor anyone could have asked for. Her care, her voice, her love for babies, her sense of humor...never to be forgotten. She has made a huge impact, not only on my life, but my twins, Lena and Owen! It was a great experience we had with her. Prayers are being sent your way.
