Don And Connie's son Liam was the minister officiating at the funeral and their daughter Margaret sang beautifully. The service was so touching as only this past weekend I went through my own memory box and it also contains many things like Connie had in hers. I also attended the funeral for Don and I find there is a lot of talent in the entire family. As a bunch of fun-loving people, the joy experienced by this family is extraordinary! Dear Battjes Family,
Sorry to hear of Connie's passing, but I know she was ready and she suffered long enough. She had a great spirit and a rapid fire tongue when she told of all her parents had done to the glory of God.I used to bring a cream pie from Mr Burger
and enjoy an afternoon of pie and coffee. Then I couldn't do steps any more so I would drop off a pie and leave. Then I gave up driving. and now she is gone from us.
