Larry and I met Connie and Clem as we served at Ft. Monmouth Chapel.
They were a great couple. We had the priveledge to visit with them in their home many times. Connie loved garden items and Larry and I would often drop by with offerings from our garden. She would always offer me a Coke. In a note she wrote to me following Larry's passing in July. She reminded me that she was still keeping a cold soda for me at her home.
I will drink one in rememberance of her and our friendship. ...

Where to start. First met Clem & Connie upon our assignment to Ft Monmouth in 1982. Chapel & OCF activities were the start but then became like one of the family to include attending our daughter Cheryl's wedding & other family events. Our own "Corie Tembone" Our special song we shared was "He payed a price he did not owe, I owed a price I could not pay." Last time we saw her was at Melinda's son Trei's funeral in 2007.

Connie Clements was a terrific person to know, and our contact with her and Clem was through the Ft Monmoouth Chapel. She had a remarkable memory for names and dates. We will miss her smile in future visits to the chapel.
