Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to learn about Leary's passing. He was one of the most personable and likeable people I have met or known. My memories of sitting in his office at CSU discussing college football with him as well as the many baseball games we umpired together are some of my fondest. To his family, please accept my sincere condolences.

Dear Cinda and family,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathy and prayers at this sad, sad time. I was honored to have worked with Leary over the last couple of years here at Auburn, and joyfully we had become friends as well. I very much appreciated his wit and fun nature, and playing golf or sharing a good cigar with him. I valued his professionalism, but moreso, I loved his kind and thoughtful nature. I shall miss him very much in both regards. It was my honor to attend the services...

Please accept my thoughts and prayers at the death of your husband, father, son, grandfather and friend. We who knew him are so shocked and saddened by his passing.

A number of us were with Leary last Wednesday in Birmingham. We were meeting to discuss revitalization plans for east Alabama and west Georgia. We shared insights and plans that day at an excellent 3+ hour session. Leary was very engaged and we benefitted from his presence, as we had the many times we've been together....

Dear Bell Family,
During the brief year I worked with Leary on committees at Auburn University, he distinguished himself as kind, caring, generous and encouraging. Know you have been blessed to be a part of a life that was giving to others and left fond memories always to follow in his path. It is a testmony to his honor and dignity. May God be with you.
