My brother and I both learned languages from Grandpa Hanko-except that he taught me Dutch, not Latin. He was truly an amazing person. Give my best to his family.

How the angels must be rejoicing at the coming home of this good and faithful saint! What a true blessing he has been - even thru the difficult times.
We were privileged to share some of the years of our lives together.
Lynn's health is extremely fragile with her MS right now, as is mine, so attending the funeral is not possible, but please know that you will be in our thoughts and prayers -- and we will also be rejoicing -- how could we not?!
May you all feel God's...

On behalf of myself and my brother & sister-in-law, Art & Darlene Bykerk and family, we would like to extend our Christian sympathies and condolences to the Hanko family. Please be assured that while we are not able to be there in person, our thoughts and prayers will be with you during this time of sadness, but yet great joy! Rev. Hanko was very special to our family for many years.

I was saddened to hear of his passing. I have so many fond memories of him, particularly when I was a child. Although he was technically my father's uncle, I will always know him as Grandpa Hanko. My carrer now, teaching language, is due to him, as he so patiently spent time with me teaching me Latin. I will miss him, and treasure his memory. My regards to his family.
