In 1992 as a staff announcer for Wsmk-fm I had the pleasure of meeting Speed doing security and he indeed was a very special person Just as historical as JJ Ivory the former Police Chief!! He paid his dues and im quite greatful for having the opportunity to be exposed to him and the many men and women he mentored in the city of Elkhart!!
