ROBINSON, Mr. Cornelius H., a man who loved the Lord, entered eternal rest on April 4, 2010. He was born on November 5, 1951, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late James D. Robinson and Claudine Robinson. He was predeceased by a loving sister, Vanessa L. Robinson Gary. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Dr. Claire W. Robinson; two children, Mr. Daniel W. Robinson (Shelly), Ms. Jennifer H. Robinson (Nathan-Michael); one grandson, Nathan-Michael William Smith II; one sister, Ms. Debbie Red Robinson; three aunts, Mrs. Marian Jones, Mrs. Pauline Booker (Alvin), Mrs. Mabel Hewlett; sister-in-law, Mrs. Janet W. Thomas; brother-in-law, Mr. Jonathan Williams; his spiritual mother, Rev. Brenda B. Summerset; nieces, Ms. Shamika Harrell, Ms. LaTisha Pritchard; nephews, Mr. Kurt Walls, Mr. Montee' Harrell, one devoted, Mr. Jerome Smith; a host of spiritual nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers; three devoted, Mr. Ralph White, Col. Oliver Norrell and Mrs. Robinette Tiller. His remains rest at W.S. Watkins & Son Funeral Home, 2700 North Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh Street, at 11 a.m. Friday, April 9. Rev. Dr. Levy M. Armwood officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Cornelius. I still think of the times when he helped me and others, his sense of humor and his bravery. Cornelius was a valued member fo the SWAT family and RPD and will be missed. We will be praying for you and your family.

Rest in peace my old high school friend, you will be greatly miss. Class of 1972!

Cornelius was a wonderful person. He was always willing to step in and assist you with whatever task at hand. Always willing to go the extra mile. Sleep on Dear Friend along with all of God's other special angels. Your friends at the Richmond Police Department will miss you.

my heart goes out to you and your family. For I know how hard it is to loose someone so dear to your heart. I Had the pleasure of meeting and also working with, Mr. Robinson at, "Retreat Hospital" Known as Retreat Doctors Hospital.

I will miss Cornelius; always looked forward to seeing him at church. May God continue to comfort and strengthen each of you always..
