Corrie Parsons Gibson, 89, wife of the late Samuel Loyd Parsons and William A. Gibson, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at her home in Easley.
Born in Easley, to the late Arthur and Melissa Hendricks Dalton, Corrie retired from Woodside Mill. She enjoyed traveling, caring for her family, and was a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Allen Parsons (Sue) of Easley, and Joe Parsons (Edna) of Easley; three daughters, Margaret Hayes (Marvin) of Easley, Mary Hall (Donnie) of Pickens, and Sandra Anders of Easley; a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Parsons; two sisters, Betty Carter of Easley, and Irene Grant of Pickens; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands and parents, she was predeceased by a son, Jerry Parsons.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, June 1, 2013 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
Visitation will be from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Margaret Hayes.

Im very sorry about your mother. She was our neighbor since we moved beside your family home in 1966. She always watched out for us while our mom worked and has always been a good neighbor and a sweet lady. She will
be missed.
