Cory was born on February 2, 1941 and passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Cory was a resident of London, Ohio at the time of his passing. He joined the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Mary.
We grew up listening to the group but he was my favorite to watch perform. We watch them over and over on YouTube. I know it's been years but you have our condolences.

Cory Wells was an incredible singer and a great human being. I miss his incredible voice that helped make Three Dog Night great. I know he passed away a few years back but his music will always be with me.

I recently heard of Cory Wells passing. I know it´s been years, but condolences to his wife, children & grandchildren. I grew up listening to TDN who was great, too bad I never got to see them...Cory had a beautiful soulful voice that will never be forgotten. Thanks to Radio, YouTube, vinyl, CD´s & tape, (cassette& yes 8 track) We can continue to enjoy the beautiful voice he was still sharing with us in 2015.... I am the little girl that around back stage in NC screaming and yelling making all kinds of noises until you sent Pam out to tell me to be quiet. You laughed every time I said "Y'all" I liked to see you smile, (that meant I wasn't trouble.) You had a wonderful talent and business savvy I pray you had a calm ascend into God's every loving arms. I was all of 16 when I first heard Three Dog Night in concert. Oh boy, they were a great live show. All three were good looking guys. Cory was the soul man of the group. He could sing anything. I bought a lot of their music in the 70's. Rip Cory. May you rest in peace singing for the angels. Condolences to his wife and daughters

His iconic music was the soundtrack of my youth. From my first acne pimple to my first love , 3 Dog Night was there playing sonetimes in the background and often in the forefront. Sadly, inever got to see them live. What a huge loss of a fantastic musician and icon of the 70s. God bless Corey Wells. May he rest in peace in rock n roll heaven.

Sad to hear of your passing my friend. I'll never forget those crazy nights when you would occasionally get a little time off from the road and return to Buffalo for what was supposed to be a little rest,(lol,yeah sure).those days were precious brother. Cory was my favorite singer of the three singers in the band. Great, clean living fellow who connected with millions. Such a blessing to all. Right up there with Micky Dolenz. Peace, Cory.
