Not sure what to say?

Goodness, I didn't know of Court's death until the recent passing of Ping. Since I consider Court an important mentor at St. Joe's I want to acknowledge this to his family. What a prince he was. So kind and helpful to a family doc like me. Taking my patients and giving them excellent surgical care. Telling me he was just "Citizen Schmidt" after retirement. Showing me how to retire and look forward to that life. Always a class act as a physician. A fellow Episcopalian, I wish him well in his...

I just heard that Dr. Schmidt passed away last May. So sorry for your family´s loss. I worked with him in SICU for many years. He was a kind, caring man, dedicated to his profession. He made a difference in so many people´s lives.

50 years ago, Dr. Schmidt performed an exploratory laparotomy on my 25-year old husband and was the person who confirmed our suspicions of malignancy. Four years later, Dr. Schmidt sent me a condolence letter after Jim died, which I still have and from which I derive comfort.

He was a great man and wonderful Doctor. I enjoyed working with him at St. Joes. God bless your family at this time. Judi Fall Carlson

I was very sorry to learn of the death of Dr. Schmidt. He was an exceptionally nice man as well as an excellent doctor. He very likely saved my life.

Court always gave an interesting perspective to any conversation be it health, politics, family matters, or fishing. His rye sense of humor combined with an amazing intellect made him a truly outstanding individual who will be sourly missed and I am very grateful for the times I spent with him. Pinga and family I am sorry for your loss, but also know that he has brought so much to so many people.

Dear Ping and Family ~ the entire neighborhood will miss seeing Court walking Fi. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Barbara and Tony
