Not sure what to say?

Azua:
I just found out this past weekend that your mother had passed away. I am shocked. I will keep you and your family close to my heart and in my prayers. I know you have many memories of your mom -- a most remarkable peson. Her humor, wisdom, generosity, and elegance are imbedded in my memories of her. God bless you.

I'd like to say a most humble thank you to all who took the time to write such wonderful words about my Mom. I still can't believe it. I'm so proud of the person she helped me become and that she was and became over the years. I love her now more than I ever did and our relationship will continue to grow. Thank you also for the wonderful cards, phone calls and many other kind gestures you have shared with me and my family that I will NEVER forget. Soon I leave for San Francisco to settle...

I've only recently become aware of Courtney's passing. I'll always treasure the opportunity I was afforded to have worked with Courtney and Stephen for the HBHP. Courtney was HBHP’s indomitable motivator as we toiled and laughed through many sleepless nights of set-up, scripting and grant writing. In my heart, I’ll hold dear Courtney’s thoughtful dedication to her community…indeed she inspired me. So long Freebird.

Azua, the last time I saw you , you were just a little girl and now your a young woman, married to one of my favorite former students, Ellis. My heart goes out to you and your family. Your mother will truly be missed. May God bless you.

Dear Roda, Azua, dee-Dee and Family

I only heard yesterday the shocking news of Courtney's untimely passing. Our families' long connection with progressive politics gave strength to us as we struggled to create a world of peace, equality and love for our children. Courtney will be sorely missed.
