Craig was born on October 4, 1961 and passed away on Monday, July 15, 2019. Craig was a resident of Richwoods, Missouri at the time of passing. Visitation will be held on Monday July 22, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Service will be held on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Mahn Funeral Home at 10:00 am followed by a Graveside Service with Full Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St Louis County.
Dear Pam, Anna and Family, I was so sadden to hear this news, my deepest condolences. I believe Craig has touched so many and the world is a better place because of him.

I never met him but, obviously, saw him being interviewed several times. Always pulled at my heart as he struck me as such a kind and sincere husband and father. I hated to hear about this and I'm so sorry to his family and friends. If the world was full of men like Craig Akers it would most certainly be a better place.

Craig was the Dad that my son always wanted. Craig took him under his wings and set the course for his life. I have never known anyone to fight harder or have a love that never ends as Craig had. He will be truly missed. His contribution in this world will go on and on. He loved his family, of which he made us a part of. So sorry Pam and all. He was loved.
