Well Craig, I guess it's skiing the powders of clouds and hiking among the great vastness of the heavens. You will be sadly missed by the old Whistler crew of Heather, Rex and Cathy, ourselves and the others of the old ski cabin above Billy Osborne's and Alta Lake. Condolences to the family from his Canadian friends.

We will be sad for a long time, but try to do a bit better in our own lives to do what Craig did.

Although I am no longer a geologist, I remember and appreciate what I learned from Craig when I was a graduate student at the U nearly 20 years ago. He was a talented teacher and passionate about his subjects. He was uniquely able to integrate academics, practicality and environmental values. I am not surprised to learn now how his career evolved and am confident that he was a positive influence on friends, family, students, colleagues and the community at large. Congratulations to...
