Craig W. Mitchell age 70 of Peck died June 8, 2021.  He was born in Sandusky to Bernard and Delphine Mitchell.  Craig graduated from Peck High School Class of 1968 and received his Bachelor Degree from Northern Michigan University in 1972.  He belonged to the Kappa Sigma fraternity.


Craig was an independent Insurance Adjuster for 50 years.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and  would watch or attend the at Daytona or Indianapolis races.  He was a voracious reader, loved movies and a cigar aficionado.  In his younger years he was a member of a sky-diving club.  He taught himself to play guitar and one of his favorite things was to throw his boomerang.  He was greatly grieved when his favorite dog and cat companions died.


He is survived by his wife and the love of his life Margreate, two  sisters Carla Mitchell and Gina (Jerry) Ryckman, nephews Nick (Jamie) Wilson, Chad (Samantha) Ryckman, Sam Ryckman and Alex Ryckman.  Also surviving is a great niece Emma and great nephews Evan and Clayton and great close cousins Joe and Cathy Becker, Aunt Beatrice and many cousins.   His best friend from a different mother was Philip Reed, foster brother John Hendra


Visitation will be Tuesday June 15 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Carman Banquet Hall. 


Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. and burial will be in Mont Hope Cemetery.

I can't believe it's been this long. It only seems like yesterday that we returned from the Indy 500 and little did we know that was our last trip. Still miss you buddy!

Sorry to hear about Craig , Ive known him for 30 years , we worked alot of storms together & had alot of good times. Rest in peace
