Craig W. Murray, 76, passed away on Friday, November 10th, at his home in Bangor, PA with his family by his side. 


Craig was born in Easton, PA on April 24, 1947, a son of the late Walter Murray and the late Shirley (Beers) Murray. He was the husband of Kathleen (Kaniper) Murray, they would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on December 3rd.


Craig was a 1965 graduate of Bangor High School.  He was a Union Electrician by trade, joining the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in 1965 and retiring in 2009. He owned and operated Murray’s Trains and Pools, in Bangor for years and was a member of the Ranger Patrol at Camelback Ski Area for over a decade. 


Craig had many interests, he was an avid collector of toy trains, an enthusiast of all things space and space travel, he had a love of skiing and swimming, he was always curious, and always learning. Craigs favorite pastime was spending time with his granddaughter, she was the light of his life.


In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Craig is survived by a daughter, Nicole Murray, partner of Kevin Sullivan, a son, Christopher Murray, a brother, Glenn Murray, husband of Sheila, a step-mother, Joan Murray, his granddaughter, Julia Murray and her mother Malgorzata Murray, his grandson, Warrior Bryant, his nieces and nephews, and his dog Iowa.


A memorial service will be held to celebrate Craig’s life at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at St John's Church on Morgan Hill, 2720 Morgan Hill Rd, Easton, PA 18042 with Reverend Doctor Blake Heffner officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Rd, Easton, PA 18042, or to St John's Church.

My sincere condolences for your loss of Craig. We graduated from Bangor High together. He sat behind me in "homeroom" in High School, so we often chatted. I hadn't seen him since graduation, but recall him fondly.
