Not sure what to say?

Craig had an encyclopedic knowledge of every subject you could imagine. And he shared this knowledge generously. I am beholden to him forever.

Our condolences to the Scanlan family. Craig and I grew up in the same neighborhood (Sunnycrest Dr. Little Silver)and shared some memories as we grew up together. May he rest in peace for eternity.

The day before I heard of Craig's passing, I was telling a friend about him being the best teacher I had ever had and his talent for delivering a lecture that you didn't miss a word. I was in his last class at Brookdale and no doubt he is one of the main reasons I love my job 38 years later. I feel blessed to have been taught by him and shared a few "attitude adjustment classes" with him!! A true legend! May God's peace be with you knowing how many lives he helped, not just his students...

You will be missed.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Dr. Scanlan. I worked with him for several years as his editor, and I will always remember him as a very talented, yet humble person. I know he was an inspiration to many. He will be truly missed in the respiratory care industry as a mentor, a scholar, and a kind human being. May he rest in eternal peace.

Dear Barrie,
I want to extend my very sincere condolences to you and your family. Craig was my instructor. I owe my 42 year career as a Respiratory Therapist to him. He was an amazing teacher and mentor to me.
I had the opportunity 5 years ago to be at a seminar where he was speaking. Here we talked for a long time about the past and the present. I felt that I not only was talking with my professor but my friend.
I am so sorry I won't be able to attend the memorial for Craig. ...

I was hired by Craig back in 1987 and had the honor of working with him
He inspired me to write and be the best therapist I could be
I will miss him

So sorry for the loss of one of the important figures in the world of Respiratory Care...
