Dear JB and family, I am grateful for the technology our present world provides. It is because of Facebook that I found Craig once again. My sincere condolences to you and the family. Knowing Craig during the time of Kyles tenure in our Boy Scout High Adventure Crew 654 was truly a great experience. The way Craig worked with and related to our co-ed group of boys and girls truly showed a warm fatherly
figure. The many outing and Civil War Reenactments we shared will always be remembered. I too am batteling cancer and know your pain in facing this dreaded disease.But our loss here on...

Dear Joan Beth and family,

Losing Craig is a great blow. He was a great friend and encourager to all of us, especially to me ever since I first got to know him on the BUS soccer field.

Since Mother’s passing I have come to realize much more clearly that the reality of Heaven is just as much a matter of our basic Christian faith as our belief in the existence of God and Christ.

If we say we believe in Christ, we must believe that what He has told us is true...

I met Craig a few years ago when I was trying to recruit talented people for the local Auxiliary flotilla. Since that first meeting we became good friends. We talked often on Auxiliary and other matters. He brought out the best in me as he did in so many others. His fine example of serving others is an inspiration far all to follow. I will miss my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with Joan Beth, the kids and grandchildren.

Craig was a very special individual who was always willing to give the most in any interaction with him. His contributions to the Auxiliary are well documented in the District newsletters. I will miss seeing him at the Auxiliary meetings.

Craig Smith was one of the 3 DSAR teams i was the team leader in the USCGAUX, He was the one that held the group togather , He always said i did but i knew better.
