Craig Leon Williams, beloved husband, father, and friend, peacefully entered eternal rest on May 28, 2025, at the age of 59.
Born on December 27, 1965, to Cleo Webber and George Williams, Craig lived a life grounded in faith, service, and deep devotion to those he loved. A proud graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School in Houston, TX, with a track and field scholarship to Ranger College in Ranger, TX. He went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Marine Corps. It was during his military service, while stationed in Bermuda, that he met the love of his life, U.S. Navy sailor, Jacqueline R. Banks. They married on May 30, 1987, and together built a beautiful life anchored in mutual respect and unwavering love. Craig and his wife have resided in Jacksonville, Florida for over twenty five years.
To their union, one daughter, Danielle, was born. Craig cherished his role as a father and later joyfully embraced his son-in-law, Travis Jones, whom Danielle married. Craig was elated to become a grandpa with the soon-to-arrive baby girl.
Craig dedicated himself to civil service and retired with distinction from the Department of Navy, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, in Jacksonville, FL in 2022. Craig had a deep love for playing golf and was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Rockets, Houston Astros and Texas Longhorns. Affectionately known a “Fuzzy” or “Uncle Fuz”, his warmth, humor, and comedic personality made him an unforgettable presence at social gatherings and a cherished friend to many.
Rooted in a strong spiritual foundation, Craig began his faith journey at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church where he was baptized. He attended various churches throughout his military travel. He was an active member of Open Arms Community Church in Jacksonville, FL, where he worshipped under the leadership of Bishop Leofric Thomas, Sr.
Craig is preceded in death by his parents, Cleo Webber and George Williams; sisters, Pamela Webber, Virgie Webber; and brothers, Tony Webber and Kenneth Webber.
Craig leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 38 years, Jacqueline; his daughter Danielle (Travis) Jones; siblings Cynthia Tibbs (Norman), Veronica Darrett (Jessie), Virginia Brown (Albert, Sr.), Verna Harrison (Douglas), Michael Webber, Jacquelyn Hubbard-Gordon, Clarence Williams (Shelia), Gerald Williams (Tashia) and Janie Murray; sister-in-law, Carolyn Banks-Manns (Darryl); brothers-in law, James Banks, Jr and Kelly Banks, and countless loving family members, friends, and fellow servicemen whose lives were touched by his kindness and service.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

My sincerest condolences to the Family of Craig Williams.
I first met Craig when I worked for FRCSE at NAS Jacksonville. We had many spirited fun conversations about the Dallas Cowboys. Craig surely loved his 'Boys. We both left FRCSE at different times to go work for NAVFACSE Jacksonville. Craig was a wealth of information and knowledgeable on so many topics. His favorite topic was his family and the pride he had for his daughter. Rest on Sir.

Life has a way of changing our plans without asking. Our lives and our plans changed forever the day your journey on this earth ended. But in the midst of the sorrow, we find comfort in the joyful memories you left behind. We pray you're now at peace in Heaven, with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We love you. We miss you—my brother, my friend.
