Not sure what to say?

This is a long time coming. I'm really just a nobody other than I worked at the broadway plaza Motor Hotel, and was blessed to meet Crandall. I got to know him by seeing him everyday in the restaurant or the hotel. This was in let's see the late 70s? 79 or so I'm not really sure. I was introduced to him through Jack Strauss. Back in those days at the hotel when you needed to get somebody you used the microphone system through the hotel and you page them. Crandall one morning dared me and bet...

If I had a hundred hours, I don't think I could tell enough stories or tell you all how this man gave me the best advice and was there for me at different stages of my life. From the old days at Spanish Oaks to the last time I saw Crandall when he met my husband. The stories are colorful and the advice was priceless. He will always be a person who made a difference in my life. He will be missed

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Well, Brother, you only thought you were going to be an only child! I can´t tell you how fortunate I was to have an older brother, who considered me a "pest," and yet was always there for me. What a ride we had. Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, "It doesn´t matter what lies ahead or what lies behind, but rather what lies within, for if you have, trust, commitment and love you will make a difference with your life." You certainly made a difference not only in my life, but in all the lives you...

A great man & Texas legend, RIP Crandell. You'll never be forgotten!

Rest in Peace, Mr. Addington! A trailblazer and legend.

My family is so grateful for Mr. Addington's friendship for my dad, Chuck Merrill, and his support of the SU scholarship in his name. I know for sure that they are together and up to some trouble now--hopefully good trouble, though even that might be questionable!

So sorry to read of Crandall's passing and know he is enjoying seeing his old friends that have gone before him. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
