Creola Virginia Barker Davis

Creola Virginia Barker Davis, of Maple Avenue, Stonewood, died Monday, October 25, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Davis was a retired nurses aid with United Hospital Center. She was born in Folsom, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Arthur and Ada May Stout Barker. She was married to Eugene Paul Davis on May 1, 1948, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1979. Surviving are one foster son, William Eugene Hall, Cleveland, Ohio; two foster daughters, Betty Ruckle, Ohio, and Joann Devericks, Clarksburg; one brother, Roy Edward Barker, Moundsville; four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son; Kirt W. Smith; one daughter; Virginia Paulette Straley and sister; Norma Harbert. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Methodist Church in Stonewood. There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 3711 Morgantown Industrial Park, Morgantown, WV 26501-2347.
