TAPS - BG Curney Dronet, SR

The American Soldier does not serve and fight because he hates who is in front of him; he serves and fights because he loves who is behind him.

The World today, is a better place, because of this Soldier’s service.

The Final Salute for BG Curney Dronet

The Final Salute – In Memorial Honor to BG Curney Dronet
Louisiana National Guard

Brothers in Arms, Military men, and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and “as a way” to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to BG Dronet our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for the...

Our deepest condolences to Mrs Irene and the Dronet family. I first knew General Dronet when he was a Captain in the 2nd Bn 156th Infantry, Headquarters in St Martinville LA. My condolences to his family. I regretfully never met him (except, maybe as a child). I am a Dronet from a different great-great-grandfather. I read Curney's biographical book and enjoyed it thoroughly which also taught me some of my own family history. Thank you Curney for all that you did in your life-time.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. Dronet. He has left such a wonderful legacy for the young generation to follow. The family has a lot to proud of in Mr. Dronet!
