Not sure what to say?

There just are not the words to express the sweet sincere soul that was Curt. I was lucky enough to spend so much time with him as we had barely started our teen years. We were neighbors and friends. God bless his memory forever.

It was an absolute pleasure to have known Curt. So much a gentlman and so intelligent and a sharp sense of humor. I still think of him often...

It was a privilege to learn and cycle tandem with you Curt. I can only imagine the bike you have built in heaven , waiting for Cathy to peddle with you . Those long rides with you were inspirational and the dinner and laughs with cathy afterwards are my favourite memories of Seattle. Thank you for being in my life... I will miss you.

Even after the months passed, it's still hard to believe such an energetic human being is no longer in our midst. I still go online and brouse through his photos from time to time, to see the world through his eyes. He will never be truly gone as long as we hold him in our hearts. Margaret (Peggy) Cane

Curt was a good friend and coworker at the City of Seattle.
I will always remember the kindness Curt & Cathy showed me when they surprised me with a birthday celebration instead of the quite dinner I was expecting. Kind friend you will be missed.

I will fondly remember Curt, his devoted wife, Kathy, and their beautiful Golden Retriever, River, whom
we met at Greenlake. Curt would always stop to talk, and share stories, and plans of upcoming trips. His love and memories of Yellowstone will forever be in my thoughts. He was a very special person.

Cathy, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of Curt. I know he retired not too long ago, and imagined you would long be enjoying all the things you loved doing together. I knew Curt for many years at the City of Seattle. He made me laugh with his wit and sense of humor, and we had many conversations about hiking adventures and trips to Hawaii. In 1991, we were laid off at the same time from the Personnel Dept, even though we both had many years of service. I always felt a special...

I met Curt when we were in Jr High when his family moved to our neighborhood. Anyone meeting him for the first time liked him right off. I was just thinking of all things lol how soft his hair was. Silly but at 14 I would tease him and ruffle his hair saying I'd mess it up. But of course then he had a crew cut so no way to mess it. I just liked teasing him and he'd always give me a cute little smile. I'm so glad you and Curt stopped in to see me when you were in Altoona for his High School...

I just saw this obit in the Times today. It was just yesterday when my Golden Retriever Bailey and I were down at Green Lake and I thought about this guy and wondered why I hadn't seen him in a few months. I never knew his name, just that of his Golden, River. He always stopped to talk - always!! This makes me very sad - I have missed seeing his friendly face. I am so very sorry for your loss. He seemed like a genuinely nice man. Should I ever see River again at Green Lake (with mom) I...
