Not sure what to say?

Dear Schmidt Family,

I was very sorry to hear of the death of your brother Curt. I have fond memories of my early childhood, spending many hours at your home, and the fun Curt and I had as friends and schoolmates. It probably has been over 35 years since my last contact with him. We did write occasionally when he was in the service. I believe Karl went to school with my brother Tom.

I want to extend my deepest sympathy to your family and tell you Curt is in my prayers.

We were very sorry to hear the news about your brother, Curt. He will be missed. We looked forward to his visits at the Pittsburgh Catholic. He always had a smile on his face, and although he was usually in a rush, he stopped to greet us with kindness. May God's peace be with all of you.

To friends and family of Curt A. Schmidt : May Curt be rushed into the Kingdom he like all of us need our Lords grace. Pray for the repose of his soul. I beg of you. Friend, Co-worker, And fellow Catholic of the Mystical Body of Christ. Bless Curt and all of you. JMJ.

Curt and I were classmates at MHS. After graduation we continued our friendship; we corresponded while he was in the military and especially Vietnam. He was one of the nicest guys I know. You have my deepest sympathy.

To Our Dear Friend and Colleague Ski,

We are so saddened to hear that you have lost your brother. Curt was blessed to have one little sister among so many brothers who looked after him, a comforting combination of a "visiting home nurse" and a "mother hen."

Please know that we are holding you in our thoughts and prayers as you say your last goodbyes. We believe that tears can heal, that memories can comfort, and that love lives on forever.

May the Lord bless...

Curt is remembered as a consciousous worker at United who got caught up in the downsizing that occurred in PIT in the early 80's. If you needed assistance he was always among the first to offer his help.
