Curtis Bailey

Thank you to all who knew my father and acknowledged his passing. He was always an inspiration to me, intellectually as well as musically. Any time you were around him, you could guarantee that he would challenge you with his questions, wit and humor. He was always humming, whistling or singing and had a beautiful voice. As a teenager in the late 80's I worked for Mr. Bailey. I have very fond memories of his daily 11:00 lunches. As long as I drove, I was invited. Somedays we'd make a trip to check on Mrs. Bailey or to play with a visiting grandchild. He was always good for both a laugh and a lesson. I learned many interesting things from him over the years. Regretably, I lost touch with him about a year after Mrs. Bailey passed away, but have thought of him often.
