DAVIS, Curtis Eugene - Of Flint Township, age 85, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Brian's House in Davison. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Central Church of the Nazarene, G-1261 West Bristol Road, Flint, Pastor Glen Gardner officiating. Burial in Glenwood Cemetery with a military graveside service under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard. Those desiring may make contributions to Central Church of the Nazarene. Visitation 12-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Mr. Davis will be at the church from 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service. A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 7 p.m. by Grand Blanc Lodge #571, F.&A.M. at the funeral home. Curtis was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 29, 1925, the son of the late Curtis and Mildred Davis and was a resident of Flint for many years. He graduated from Northern High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Curtis graduated from GMI and was employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Fisher Body I for over 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Grand Blanc Lodge #571, F.&A.M. Curtis enjoyed golf, hunting and spending time with his family. Curtis married Nanadhele Harris on March 26, 1946 in Flint and renewed their vows on June 30, 1985. Surviving are wife of 64 years Nancy; four children, Kathy Davis-Dignan of Genesee, Reid (Janet) Davis of Clio, Cindy (Gary) Akinson of Flint; daughter-in-law, Sandra Davis of Bay City; fourteen grandchildren, Heather (Pete) Patterson of Burton, Curtis (Jenny) Davis of Texas, April Davis of Flint, Wayne (Teresa) Hamilton, Benjamin (Donna) Hamilton, Chad Hamilton and fiancee' Ashley, Misty Thomas, all of Flint, Aaron (Bethany) Davis of Grand Blanc, Jeffery Stevens, Scotty Stevens and Bonnie Stevens, all of Flint, David Watson of Marion Springs, Michigan, Penny Hubbard of Waterford and Frederick McNeill of Clio; many great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Johnson of Bernie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
