I me brother Gilmore for the first time at the sixth district meeting in Greensboro, N.C. in April 1971. I had just crossed the burning sands of Omega on the 25th of March 1971 at Voorhees College, Denmark, South Carolina. Mr Gilmore will always be Coach Gilmore, for those of us who knew him and loved him, from his days at Spartanburg High School.Coach Gilmore always had a big smile and an encouraging word for everyone.
