I didnt know Mr. Givens all that well. We met on a few occasions while I was a college student in Memphis. I played football and pledged the same fraternity as his son, Corliss. And one thing I can say without hesitation is he raised a good son. From picking me up from summer school at the University of Memphis, to being the first black student body president at Rhodes, to mentoring myself and others to become a better man while pledging, I truly believe that is an exact result of the impact...
