Peggy,

I was out of town when I heard about Bud's passing. I have some very fond memories from all of the get-to-gethers we had at your home. I feel really blessed to have been a part of your family, and that I had the opportunity to know both you and Bud. Please know that you and your family will be in my thought and prayers.

Love, Kris (Eller) Sapper

I am sorry for your loss and will be thinking of you in the days and months ahead.

My prayers go out ot the family of Mr Hoffner, Bud was one of the best baseball coaches I ever had and made a positive impact on my life. A life lived well.

I have wonderful memories to hold on to with time spent with (Uncle)Bud. I will never forget him telling me that he wanted to be buried in his old Ford truck b/c he had never seen a hole that his truck had not got him out of. We use to pick about Fords and Chevys. He also use to give me a hard time b/c I got lost going to Marion, NC and ended up in Virginia when I was headed to my softball tournament. He never let me live that one down. All the fishing trips and camping trips are some of the...

Bud always had a smile and something ecouraging to say. He and Peggy made my husband and myself feel very wellcome for the short time we were in Salisbury. I loved hearing his fishing and hunting stories. Yuo could tell he was also devoted to his grandchildren. His friendly ways will be greatly missed. All our love to Peggy and the family. To the Hoffner Family...
I wasn't sure what I wanted to write in Bud's guestbook. Just saying I'm sorry for me just did quite cover how I was feeling. It wasn't until I went to Bud's funeral today that it came to me. How do you tell someone that never knew Bud what they truly missed out on. Looking around the church today showed how much Bud was really loved and respected. You could see on people's faces that they were at a loss with Bud's sudden passing. When I was around Bud, he...
