Not sure what to say?

Coach Kell was my assistant principal at Etowah High School in Woodstock, GA. I remember he always seemed to be smiling and patting people on the back. His presence was a blessing to me. He just made you feel at home and safe while at school. He inspired me to become a teacher and coach. I even named my son after him. I used to come home from college on the weekends and cut his grass and maintain his yard. He was always so nice and seemed full of wisdom.

Looking at the entries in the Guest Book today, I thought about how shy I was in school and Mr. Kell would call the roll and have us bring our report cards back to the front of the class after the cards had been signed by our parents. He said I would be a cute girl if I would come out of my shell but I did not know a word he said and everyone laughed and one of my friends in the class told me what he said. I wish I could have told him, I came out of my shell eventually once I had ear surgery...

Coach Kell was head football coach @ Walter F. George HS during the 60's. He was an excellent history teacher and motivator. His teaching and instruction on the field instilled the skills needed to get through life. RIP Coach…

Coach Kell coached the linemen at Brown High School in the late 50's and early 60's and was my coach during that time. He was a true inspiration as a coach and made me a better athlete and person. I will never forget his wisdom for football and life. May he rest in peace.

Coach Kell was not only a good man,but also a tower of srength. As a coach he led, as a teacher he motivated, to succeed in life was my responsibility.
I will never forget the hit he put on me during a blocking drill 60 years ago......I still feel the impact.

Clifford Walker, class of 1954

With deepest sympathy to the Kell family during your time of grief...Psalm 46:1...God is for us a refuge and strength, A help that is readily to be found during difficult times...May God provide you with peace and comfort to endure the days ahead.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Coach Kell was head football coach at Southwest DeKalb when I was an eighth-grader there. He was always friendly and helpful to me and the other eighth-graders, which really thrilled us since he was the football coach and we were the youngest group on campus.
Later, when I became an educator, I had the honor of teaching Chip at Avondale High School. Having a parent-teacher relationship with Coach Kell was as much of a pleasure as knowing him at SWD. My condolences to Chip and all the...

Coach Kell was a wonderful part of my life in school and taught me so many wonderful things. Prays to all of his family until we meet again coach.
