Not sure what to say?

Hey Dad, I don't know where to begin, it's been five years. I lost some of my friends since 2020 and relatives like Arthur Hoyle, Barbara and recently Namon Flournoy and cousins Toya and Creig Jr. Your granddaughter lost her mother too since then. Outside of that it's been about the same too some degree. Your grandkids are growing up and growing into adults. We're getting older. It was Barbara who wanted you to have a second surprise birthday but you weren't feeling up to it. It should be a...

My big brother also served as a surrogate father for my sister Janice Henrene and myself by taking us in rather than allowing us to be adopted by our white lawyer. My sister and I truly love our big brother Curtis Nevils, Sr. For loving us the way he did!

Hey Dad, you would have had your 90th birthday today. It's about the same down here everyone is looking at your pictures and stuff. I truly miss you.

It has been 4 yours now since you transitioned. Miss you. The family is trying our best to stay in touch. Family is everything.

Hey Dad, life is always a little different, you never know what's going transpire from one minute to the next. We just had one of our relatives, Toya, who's going up there to met you and Jimmy whom you knew from down the street. Keep watching over us down here. I think about you always. I miss you, love you, most of all I miss hearing them phrases you would say like "Hey...". Me and the brothers also talk about them movies you would have liked. "Hey...", bring us back them sunny days. We sure...

Happy Heavenly Birthday big brother. We owe you more than you know. Without you where would I be.

I remember thinking my brother (Curtis, Sr) was Nat King Cole. It was the "conk" processed hair and white suit. I was very young. I remember wearing his "Little Gents" jacket. I was so proud of his musical prowess, and listening to practicing of his Five Cs band. I remember so much more!

Hey Dad I miss the talks we had about cars, houses, movies. Etc. Rest in Peace.

Hey dad, it's been four years since you've been gone. You always had people charisma, I think some of it has rubbed off on some of us. Your granddaughters are all grown now. I know you and Bill are probably having a good time up there. Say hi to Ted and OFarrell up there too.
