At 6-foot-7, Curtis R. Hall "was like a ray of sunshine," said his sister, Brenda Thibeault. "He loved to tease and play, but knew where the line was. He always knew how just to have fun." Hall, 24, of Burley, Idaho, was killed April 6 in combat near Kirkuk. A 2000 high school graduate, he was assigned to Whidbey Island and was on his second tour. As a lanky 14-year-old Boy Scout, he was credited with saving his father''s life in a rafting accident and was awarded the Boy Scout''s Honor Medal, along with his brother. Hall enjoyed shooting guns, riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, driving Jeeps and his new snowmobile. He also had a more artistic side, learning to play guitar, piano and trombone. He also was family oriented, always taking time to visit his siblings. Hall called home the evening before he died. "Hi, Mom. Happy birthday," he had said before telling his mom, Pam, how much he loved her. "He was such an amazing person," said Thibeault. "It''s not fair to take somebody like that, but there''s a reason for everything, and someday we''ll know that reason." He also is survived by his father, Clarence.

You are always on my mind. The Wolfhound Family gets together every year for a reunion. Our team spans generations of Wolfhounds and we still have a few Korean War Wolfhounds attend as well as Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. We attend every year and our Navy Wolfhounds are always honored and memorialized. Our tour was a hard one, but the honor to have you as part of our team will always be remembered. NO FEAR! NF6
