Curtis Selph

Macon, GA- Mr. Curtis Selph, age 71, passed away in a local hospital on August 3, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Curtis was born in Scotland, Ga to the late Henry Dan Selph and Vera Knowles Selph. He has lived in Macon since 1951 where he worked as an auto mechanic at Tucker's BP Station on the Gray Highway for more than 25 years. When he was able to get some time for himself he enjoyed going fishing or sitting at home with a glass of sweet tea or a cup of coffee and watching Westerns; especially ones starring John Wayne. In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 43 years, Nancy Johnson Selph, a son, Gene Selph, and 2 brothers, William and Bobby Selph.
He will forever be remembered by his children; Cindy Hill (Stephen) of Ft. Valley, Randy Selph of Macon, and Tony Selph of Macon; 5 grandchildren; Christa Phelps of Macon, Glenn Jenkins of Warner Robins, Joshua Robinson (April) of Ft. Polk, LA, Jocelyn Robinson of Byron, and Jeremy Selph of Perry, 9 great grandchildren, and 3 sisters; Inez Wilson (Harold) of Macon, Frances Howell of Macon, and Helen Bazemore of Macon; a brother, Royce Selph (Mary) of Warner Robins; as well as numerous other family members in the Middle Georgia area.
A memorial service to celebrate Curtis's life will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Theus officiating. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
