Cynthia Ann (Hoffman) Berlinger, 67, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025. Born in Providence, RI on November 27, 1957 to the late Ralph and Antoinette (DelGreco) Hoffman, she initially resided with her family in Cranston, RI. Cynthia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Cynthia’s warmth, kindness, and compassion touched the lives of everyone who knew her.


Cynthia is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Marc Berlinger, and their three children: Benjamin Berlinger, Sara Berlinger, and Alexis Flores and her husband Chris. She was also the cherished grandmother to her grandsons, Raff and Cayson Flores, who brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her three siblings, Dr. Cary Hoffman, Michelle Russo, and Leah Gendron.
 
A proud graduate of St. Mary Academy - Bay View and Providence College, Cynthia’s passion for life extended into all that she did. After her studies, she worked at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI, until the birth of her second child. Throughout her life, Cindy was dedicated to her family, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and support.


Cynthia had many interests that brought her joy, including music, group singing, nature walks, and theater. But above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured for years to come. Cynthia’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain a part of those who loved her.


Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. The burial will be private.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association RI Chapter at 45 Waterman St #306, Providence, RI 02906.
