Hewell and Son Funeral Home Obituary


A funeral service for Cynthia Shepard Carroll, age 54, will be held at 11:00A.M. on Thursday August 25, 2016 in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd., S. The family will receive friends from 6:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. on Wednesday August 24, 2016 at the funeral home. 


Cynthia was born July 23, 1962 in Clermont, Florida to Ernie W. & Naoma Gunter Shepard. Cynthia passed away at her home in Jacksonville on the morning of Sunday August 21, 2016. A resident of Jacksonville for 35 years, she loved to garden, love on her favorite dog & take care of her family. Cynthia was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, and she loved her grandchildren more than anything. 


Survivors include her daughters, Nanci Long & Christina Pickels of Jacksonville; her mother, Naoma G. Fraser of Jacksonville; father, Ernie Shepard; 5 grandchildren, Libby, Chloe, Hayden, Malakai & Abby; a brother James Houston Shepard; a sister Jenny Shepard Sapp as well as many extended family members & friends. She is also survived by her longtime companion, John Denison, who always made sure she had all she needed.


 


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Cynthia’s name to a charity of your choice.

My Mommy!!!! All I can do is miss you.. I feel lost without you here. Its my time to be strong,, you have me strength, hope, faith, and this attitude I have. Thank you for everything!!! Cynthia was precious and I will miss her. She was truly loved by me and many others. May the perfect peace of Christ be upon the hearts and minds of those she left behind and may Cynthia rest in His peace.

Our prayers are with you and your family at this time. You were a;ways really nice person to me through the years and I wish you peace.

From the few times I'm met you Ms. Cynthia, you were such a delight and always kind. No more pain, just peace. My prayers go out to you and your loved ones.

Cynthia, my adopted sis, my friend, you will be so missed... Growing up I so admired you and wanted to be you. My parents love you so much as well, my daughter and grandchildren love you and will never forget their aunt Cynthia.. To your mother I also deeply sorry for your loss and losses... To your daughters I am heartbroken for you both... To your beautiful granddaughters and grandson I will always be there.... for you all. I love you All... I wish I could ease your pain.

I will miss you dearly my friend! May God grant peace to all who loved you for surely their hearts are broken in your passing! I will see you again some day in heaven my friend my sister of the heart!
