Not sure what to say?

I just learned of the passing of Cynthia and am stunned. I knew Cynthia and Marsh from Trinity when their youngest children, Elizabeth and Ned, were in Youth Group there. A poignant memory I have of Cynthia and Marsh was when they hosted all of the youth at their beautiful home and upon entering -- the love was palatable. Marsh had not yet become ill and their love was a joy to witness both for each other and their kids. She was a force to be reckoned with and I am heart-broken for her...

All who knew Cynthia in Kansas City loved her. Her warm, beautiful smile and her loving heart endeared all to her. She was always so joyous and made others feel they had her rapt attention when with her. We enjoyed a family ski trip with Cynthia and her boys years ago and knew the combined Douthat family as well. We've never met, but thank you for your efforts to cure ALS. May God bless you and your family.

Cynthia, aka CD, was my Theta Big Sis at SMU & the most enthusiastic, friendly & inspirational person I had ever met. Although our paths had not crossed for far too many years, she remained, & will always, unforgettable. How blessed I was to have her touch my life. My prayers go to all her family..Barbara Bohren MacLeod

Our caring thoughts go out to Cynthia's family and friends during this sad and difficult time of adjustment. We appreciate Cynthia's tireless efforts in the fight to Defeat ALS. She will forever remain in our hearts.

So many fond memories of our same time next year bridge trips through the years. Cynthia was our designated leader and keeper of the money kitty. We enjoyed many a fine meal and numerous adventures. She will be greatly missed and there will be a profound absence without her.

Very sad. Cynthia was always so good to me when i would visit with Todd in Atlanta and when I'd see her in Kansas. Always smiling.

I am so sad about Cynthia's passing. She was a friend of mine at Sunset Hill School. She would invite me over to her house after school, and weekends. She would help me with my hopeless homework. I remember her beautiful handwriting, her pretty teeth, and perfect hair. She was one of the classiest girls in school, and so easy going. I thought I had "made it" when I got invited to her kool house, and she was my friend. I even remember her prefix of her phone #...Cofax2....She was a very...
