It's been a month since I heard the news about Cindy and it is still hard to believe. Cindy was my friend for 19 years, my entire adult life. Even though most of those years we did not live in the same city or even in the same state, we kept in touch - mostly through Cindy's efforts. She really knew how to be a friend. She always made me feel that I was important to her. She was the kind of friend who always remembered my birthday, but wouldn't hold it against me when I always forgot her...

Although we did not know Cynthia personally, we feel we have known her through her family. We know she is dearly missed by all who did know her. Each of God's children is special in some way. We have learned that Cynthia was special in her love for others and for animals. We pray her family and friends will be able to find joy in their memories and will only dwell on the beauty of her life.

Cindy was a beautiful, talented and fun loving person. She was like a rose in bloom. She is missed by all who knew and loved her. I look at her picture and cannot believe that she is gone.

I just learned today that I have lost a very dear and special friend. Cindy and I have spoken nearly every day since last July, when we were in treatment together in Minneapolis. I have been worried for over a week and am so very sorry to find this news at the end of my search for her. Simply said, we had an unconditionally loving friendship and I already miss her dearly.
